Robert John Ammendola, age 78, of Fawn Lake Forest, Hawley died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at home.

Mr. Ammendola was born November 21, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late Peter Emilio and Victoria Vincenza (Lipari) Ammendola. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Peter Robert Ammendola and a sister, Patricia Ann Ammendola.

Robert was a member and Eucharistic minister at B.V.M. Queen of Peace Church, life member and financial secretary for Knights of Columbus, fire police for Central Volunteer Fire Co., and member of Beaver Brook Rod and Gun club in Narrowsburg, NY.

He retired as a sanitation worker for NYC Department of Sanitation in 1978.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Teresa Annette (Ruggiero) Ammendola; two daughters: Patricia Biondo and her husband Jeff of Massapequa Park, NY and Maria Ammendola of Barryville, NY; a daughter-in-law:  Andrea Ammendola; nine grandchildren: Peter Robert Ammendola II, Christopher Ramm, Jeff Biondo, Stephanie Biondo, Alyssa Biondo, Michael Biondo, Briana Nieke-Gould and her husband Theodore, Amanda Nieke, Tyler Nieke; four great grandchildren: Mia Ammendola, Amber Ramm and Jase and Kayden Gould.

Calling hours will be Sunday, December 2nd from 1 to 5 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 3rd at 10 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor.

Burial will be in Green Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
