Obituary of Raymond James Morin

Raymond Morin, 83, of Hawley, passed away in his home on December 17th, 2020. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Noreen Morin. The couple was married December 7th, 1974. Raymond was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children and grandsons beyond measure, and did anything he could to keep his family happy. Ray also loved working in his garage and tending to the yard with his good friend and neighbor, Bill Smith. Raymond is also survived by his daughter, Suzanne Morin (Glendale, AZ) and Jennifer Brown and husband Sean Brown (Hawley, PA), and grandchildren Owen and Tully Brown. He was very close to his surviving family members: Bruce and Betsy Barber (Norwich, NY) and Lorraine Winans (Binghamton, NY). He was also fun Uncle Ray to several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Known for his love of cookies and sweets, a trip to see Ray would always have a treat in store. Born to Amadee and Lena Morin of Cedarhurst, NY, in 1937, he was the youngest in his family. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his siblings Lucian, Roland, Bobby, Helen, and Jeanette. He is survived by his cousin Dorthy Urban (Glendale, AZ) and her daughters Kathleen Reed (Newburg, NY) and Alicia Urban (Hawley, PA), and several other nieces and nephews. No words can express how much he was loved, and how much he will be missed. As per Ray's wishes, his ashes will be laid to rest at Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley, PA. No services will be held.
